Get On Top Of LPWAN: 02 Oct

Get On Top Of is a THINGS event series currently focused on 4 areas: LPWAN, Robotics, Machine Learning & Low Power Systems. Short and sharp knowledge and insight sharing presentations followed by a networking mingle from 5-6 expert speakers working at the cutting edge of these disruptive technologies.

LPWAN are required for a whole range of IoT applications, both as a complement to other connectivity and stand alone. The key requirements that LPWAN respond to are years of battery life, cheap components, tiny size and weight and low-cost traffic and subscriptions: all crucial factors when everything gets connected. Thus the market of LPWAN is huge and with a lot of potential. Get On Top Of LPWAN and be inspired by our expert panel of speakers on the developments at the cutting edge of this technology.

MEET SPEAKERS FROM: Techsource, 3 Sverige, Digital Nordix, Talkpool, IoT Sweden & Division X Telia.

REGISTER: GOTO LPWAN/ 02 Oct/ 18.00. The after-work event is free of charge and light food and beer will be served!

A huge number of devices will be connected with each other in the upcoming IoT era. These devices may have different structures and functions, but one thing is in common, power is needed for these devices to connect to the Internet so that they can be monitored and controlled remotely.

While the edge devices are becoming cheaper, the cost of replacing the devices or the batteries on all these devices scattered around the globe is expensive. This calls for a smart solution to extend the lifetime of the devices with less battery charges and there are two directions in solving this problem:

  1. Technologies related to cutting down power consumptions: LPWAN, low power electronics and low power design.
  2. Technologies related to extending power sources: battery technologies, power harvesting and technologies using sustainable energy sources.

These technologies will bring us more convenience and capability: what are the current developments and future potential of low power systems?
